The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is based in DuPont Circle, but we place students in paid federal internships all throughout the country.  A general flyer for our internship program is posted here. Please disregard the spring dates listed on the flyer, as we are currently working with a different timeline.
 
We are looking for graduate students to be considered for a spring internship that will start within the next few weeks. Part-time internships are also possible. 

Graduate research assistants (RAs) in economics will work with PhD economists on projects related to improving socioeconomic measurements, econometric measurements of programs and policies, small area modeling of poverty and income, and economic research projects.  RAs will use modern data analytic tools and statistical software packages to conduct cutting edge research, evaluation, and modeling using the Census Bureau’s household survey datasets, business data, and a plethora of administrative records.  Applicants should be comfortable working with large micro datasets and familiar with data analysis, economic theory, and applied econometric methods.
